A slow moving area of light rain is moving across the east half of Minnesota...into west central Wisconsin. The trailing edge is located near Lake Mille lacs...St cloud... Hutchinson...Gaylord...New Ulm...St James and Fairmont. The leading edge is located around Durand...Menomonie...and Rice Lake...moving east at 10 mph. Most of the showers are concentrated 30 miles either side of I-35 from Duluth to the Twin Cities...to Albert Lea in south central Minnesota. Rain fall amounts are expected to remain light...with a trace to a few hundredths of an inch expected across eastern Minnesota and far western Wisconsin through the morning hours.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at St Paul.
* At 1:15 PM Monday the stage was 7.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Saturday morning March 20th
and continue to rise to around 17 feet on Tuesday March 23rd
additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 17.5 feet... Harriet Island begins to become submerged.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet
on Jun 23 2001.
