Through 800 PM...scattered showers will remain confined to the outer Florida Straits...mainly beyond 25 nm offshore of the Florida Keys. A few small showers will move inside the Florida reef between Looe Key light and Sand Key light...with the possibility that one or two showers could move across a section of the Lower Keys. Any of these showers that make it to land will deliver a brief bout of moderate rainfall and reduced visibility. Across the outer straits...these showers will deliver moderate rainfall accompanied by short reduction in visibility below 3 miles and frequent gusts to around 35 knots. Movement of the individual showers remains quickly westward between 25 and 30 knots.

... Wind Advisory in effect...

The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a Wind
Advisory for all of the Florida Keys for tonight.

Strong winds will continue over the Keys island chain and Atlantic
coastal waters... with sustained winds of 25 to 30 mph and peak gusts
to 35 to 40 mph. Winds will be strongest on bridges... as well as on
exposed southern and eastern edges of the Keys.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or
frequent gusts in excess of 35 mph are expected. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Motorists should be alert for sudden gusts of wind...
especially on bridges... which may cause you to lose control of
your vehicle. Use extra caution.
