Wave Height Information
Information about wave height imagery

The wave height images are derived from a computer model called the Global and Regional Wave Model. It is run twice daily at the National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) at 00 GMT (7pm EST) and 12 GMT (7am EST). Model output is typically available about 6 hours later (2am and 2pm EST). The model is not run for the Mediterranean, Black, and Baltic Seas.
