Synopsis For High Island To Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 Nm
The deep low pressure system that has produced all the rain and strong winds is expected to move slowly east across the area tonight. This system has and will continue to produce scattered thunderstorms...strong easterly winds and elevated seas through early Saturday morning. Conditions should improve through the day on Saturday as this large storm system moves northeast of the region.

A surface low is forming on the edge of the coastal waters and strong thunderstorms will continue to develop the next two hours.

Mariners can expect gusty winds... high waves... dangerous lightning... and heavy rains. Boaters should seek safe Harbor immediately... until this storm passes.
